Thanks for your interest in using the County Road Association (CRA) of Michigan logo. The guidelines were created so CRA could track usage of the logos. This will helps us understand how the CRA logo is received and used among our members.
Before permission can be granted, we ask that you please read and review the CRA Logo Guidelines and complete the Logo Usage Request Form.
Logo requests are reviewed and approved or denied typically within three business days.

Guidelines for use of the County Road Association (CRA) of Michigan logo and CRA Associate Member logo
1. Logo Usage. The County Road Association of Michigan (“CRA”) grants to its County Road Agency Members in good standing, a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, “License” to use the standard CRA logo solely for those permitted uses set forth in Section 3 below.
2. Guidelines for Use of the Logo. Any use of the logo shall be limited to correct copies of the specific “Approved Forms of the CRA logo” shown on Schedule A, including, without limitation, the same relative relationship of the dimensions, content (wording), color scheme and font style. No alterations shall be made to the logo. Agency Members should consult the “Permitted Uses of the Logo” in Section 3 below, which may be modified by CRA from time to time.
3. Agency Members; Permitted Uses of the Logo.
- A. Websites. All Agency Members in good standing are encouraged and permitted (without the need to submit a formal request) to use or display the CRA logo to indicate their status as a CRA member on their websites. Agency Members use of the logo on their owned websites may link back to the County Road Association website (www.micountyroads.org). To determine whether you are a CRA County Road Agency Member in good standing, contact the CRA office at 517.482.1189.
- B. If Agency Members’ intent for Logo usage does not fit the guidelines in Section 3A or an Agency Member wishes to utilize the logo on materials other than a website or for promotional purposes, then a formal request must be submitted to the CRA. The CRA Logo Usage Request Form can be downloaded at https://micountyroads.org/Doing-Business/Logo-Request and submitted via email to info@micountyroads.org. A limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license is granted to the Agency Member and is good for one year from the date of approval. If any changes are made to the request after approval, the Agency Member agrees to submit a new request.
- C. Agency Members agree to supply a sample of use to CRA illustrating how the Logo will be used before Logo usage can be approved, on items other than websites.
4. Associate Members.
- A. The County Road Association of Michigan (“CRA”) allows Associate Members in good standing to submit requests to use the CRA Associate Member logo that are good for one year. The CRA Associate Member Logo cannot be used by an Associate Member for any reason without prior approval. The CRA Logo Usage Request form can be downloaded at https://micountyroads.org/Doing-Business/Logo-Request and submitted via email to info@micountyroads.org. If the request is approved, Associate Members are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, “License” to use the CRA Associate Member Logo and agrees to the following guidelines:
- i. Associate Members agree not to use the CRA Associate Member Logo to imply or suggest product endorsement by CRA.
- ii. Any use of the Associate Member Logo shall be limited to true and correct copies of the specific “Approved Forms of the CRA Associate Member Logo” as shown on Schedule A, including, without limitation, the same relative relationship of the dimensions, content (wording), color scheme and font style. No alterations shall be made to the Logo.
- iii. The request is good for one year from date of approval and if changes are needed, a new request will be submitted.
- iv. Associate members will release CRA from any liability that results in any way from the applicant’s use of the Associate Member Logo.
- v. The applicant may not use the Associate Member Logo in any way or for any purpose which CRA, in its sole discretion, determines has or could have an adverse impact on CRA’s reputation or interests.
- vi. A sample of use must be submitted to CRA illustrating how the Associate Member Logo will be used. A sample for all uses must be submitted before CRA Associate Member Logo usage can be approved.

5. Ownership of the CRA Logo and CRA Associate Member Logo; Reservation of Rights. CRA is the sole owner of all rights, title and interest in and to the CRA Logo, CRA Associate Member Logo and variations thereof, together with the goodwill that is symbolized by such trademarks. Except for the rights expressly granted hereunder, Agency Members and Associate Members shall not have any rights, title or interest in or to the CRA Logo or CRA Associate Member logo.
6. Revocation of Rights. CRA expressly reserves the right to revoke a license for the use of the CRA logo or CRA Associate Member logo and to request that any Agency Member or Associate Member cease and desist from any and all uses of the CRA logo or CRA Associate Member logo without notice and for any reason with or without cause, including, but not limited to, CRA’s determination in its sole discretion that a Member is not in good standing, or its use of the CRA logo or CRA Associate Member logo violates these guidelines, terms of use agreement or privacy policy.
