Road Commission of Kalamazoo County seeks bids by 4/7/2020

PAVEMENT LINE STRIPING & SPECIALTY PAVEMENT MARKING COOPERATIVE BID

Bid # 2020-06

In the spirit of intergovernmental cooperation, the Road Commission of Kalamazoo County (RCKC) and the City of Kalamazoo (jointly known as the ‘entities’) are collectively seeking bids for Pavement Line Striping & Specialty Pavement Marking throughout the County.  The work will be performed at different times, locations and for each entity, as provided for in the specifications. The RCKC is the lead agency for this procurement and its bid terms are included in this document.  Bidders (contractors) must be listed on the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Prequalified Contractors Directory for N-3 Pavement Markings to bid on this work. Bidders will have the opportunity to bid on the entire scope of the work. Separate contracts for the work will be issued and managed by each entity and will contain that  entity’s own terms and conditions. Such terms and conditions are included in the appendices for  reference.

The RCKC and the City of Kalamazoo reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids in the best interest of the respective entity.  The Contractor’s qualifications to  complete the work in a timely and satisfactory manner will be considered in making the award.

The RCKC (the lead agency) will open sealed bids and read on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at 10:45am located  at 3801East Kilgore Road, Kalamazoo MI 49001 on behalf of the Road Commission of Kalamazoo County and the City of Kalamazoo for Pavement Line Striping & Specialty Pavement Marking.

Crawford County Road Commission seeks bids by 4/9/2020

Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining an approved mix design, which must be submitted and approved by the Crawford County Road Commission prior to commencement of work. Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all recycled asphalt pavement for the entire bid quantity.

Completion date: September 30th, 2020

Bidder shall provide flag personnel and traffic control devices during construction. All materials must meet current Michigan Department of Transportation specifications. Material test reports and weight tickets shall be provided in English units. Additional information may be obtained at the office of the undersigned.

Contractor shall provide Certificate of Insurance prior to commencing work.  Certificate shall include:

1) Board of County Road Commissioners AND the Crawford County Road Commission named as additional insured to all coverage, 2) Bodily Injury Liability – each person – $500,000.00 each occurrence, 3) Bodily Injury Liability – each accident – $1,000,000.00, 4) Property Damage Liability – each accident – $1,000,000.00, 5). Single Limit Policy – $1,000,000.00 and 6) Worker’s compensation- statutory limits.

Oceana County Road Commission seeks bids by 4/12/2020

Oceana County Road Commission will be accepting bids on CURB SWEEPING until Thursday April 12, 2020.

Sweeping shall include;

US 31 Overpasses with a 4 feet minimum width and 4 curb lengths at each location – estimated footage of 4,200 feet

US 31 Ramps – estimated footage of 4,200 feet

US 31 Rest Area – estimated footage of 5,020 feet

Old US 31 (Oceana Drive) – estimated footage 1,060 feet

1 sweeping between May 1 and June 1.

Genesee County Road Commission seeks bids by 4/13/2020

Sealed proposals for the performance of work listed below will be received by The Board of County Road Commissioners of the County of Genesee, Michigan at 211 West Oakley Street, Flint, Michigan until 10:00 a.m., April 13, 2020 at which time and place the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Plans and proposals may be obtained at the Road Commission Office, 211 West Oakley Street, Flint, MI 48503 on or after 8:00 A.M., April 02, 2020. A non-refundable charge of ten ($10.00) dollars each plus $0.60 sales tax will be charged for furnishing the proposal that is picked up at the Genesee County Road Commission.  An additional cost of five ($5.00) dollars plus $0.30 sales tax will be charged for mailing the plans and proposal.  Plan and proposal charges will not be refunded.

Proposals may also be obtained from the Road Commission Web Site at www.gcrc.org.  No charges will apply for furnishing the electronic version of the proposal in adobe acrobat format.  It shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to print out the proposal in its entirety and submit the completed bid proposal to the Road Commission office by the time and date as shown above.  No proposal shall be accepted by e-mail.

Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and shall be conspicuously and plainly marked with the “proposal identification” to which the bid applies.  The right is hereby reserved to reject any or all proposals and to accept any proposal that, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interest and to the best advantage of the public.
