A contract for removal of two 42-inch CMP culverts and construction of a 6 ft rise by 18 ft span concrete box culvert with headwalls and wingwalls, approach roadway work including HMA and guardrail in Rose township, Oakland County, Michigan.

Michigan Department of Transportation pre-qualification classification for this project is:

802 Fa (Bridge and Special Structures), and Sub N9-6L (Guardrail)  or  802 Ea (Grading, Drainage Structures, and Aggregate Construction), and Sub N9-6L (Guardrail).

When M.D.O.T. prequalification is required, a bidder, at the time the bidder submits the bid, must have proper classification and numerical rating for the work on which the bidder proposes to bid.  The bidder must be fully capable of performing the work both financially and with experience in the type of work.

Monroe County Road Commission seeks bids by 4/26/2019

Work is more particularly described as 3.40 miles of HMA Crush and Shape on Mayer Road and Meisner Road, 3.31 miles HMA overlay on Allington Road, Riverside Drive, Main Street, Owana Street, Wauketa Street, Elmwood Street, Manor Park Street and Starville Road with aggregate shoulders, pavement markings, monument boxes, and miscellaneous items.

Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified/cashier’s check or Bid Bond on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable to the St. Clair County Road Commission or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid as guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a contract.

Iosco County Road Commission seeks bids by 5/20/2019

The Iosco County Road Commission will accept bids until 10:00 a.m. local time on May 20, 2019 at 3939 West M-55, Tawas City, MI 48763. Bid packages are available by contacting the Iosco County Road Commission at 989-362-4433.

BID REQUIREMENTS:

The bidder attests to having examined the location of the work described herein and is fully informed as to the nature of the work and the conditions relating to its performance and understands the quantities shown are approximate and are subject to increase or decrease.

The bidder hereby proposes to furnish all necessary equipment, tools, apparatus, and other means of construction, do all the work, furnish all materials except as otherwise specified herein; and, for the unit prices named in the itemized bid, to complete the work herein described in strict accordance with the plans and the requirements of these bid documents.

The bidder further proposes to perform extra work (for items not included with the itemized bid) that may be authorized by the Iosco County Road Commission. Compensation for extra work will be made on the basis of an agreed upon unit price prior to performing the extra work.

Bids shall be submitted on the blank bid form provided. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope and identified on the outside as “2019 Annual Pavement Markings”. Bids shall be mailed or delivered. Bids shall NOT be accepted by fax or email.

The Iosco County Road Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities therein, and to accept any bid, which in the opinion of the road commission may be most advantageous and in the best interest of the road commission.

The bidder also understands, in addition to the Bid Requirements, that the Board reserves the right to cancel any of the individual projects and the cancellation of a project shall not change the unit prices bid on any of the remaining projects.

All items of work are to be completed by October 25, 2019, unless otherwise authorized by the Iosco County Road Commission. Bidder shall contact the Iosco County Road Commission prior to start of work. Coordination with Road Commission will be required.

Oscoda County Road Commission seeks bids for a dam safety inspection report

The Oscoda County Drain Commission is seeking estimates for the Perry Lake Dam (Dam ID 2670) Dam Safety Inspection Report required by Michigan’s Dam Safety Act, Part 315 and Part 307 of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended.  The inspection report must be prepared, signed and sealed by a professional engineer licensed in Michigan by December 31, 2019.  The report must include:

1)    An evaluation of the dam’s condition, spillway capacity, operational adequacy, and structural integrity.

2)    A determination of whether deficiencies exist that could lead to the failure of the dam, including but not limited to potential seepage problems, internal erosion, surface erosion, embankment stability problems, and structural deterioration.

3)    Recommendations for maintenance, repair and alterations of the dam necessary to eliminate any deficiencies.

The engineer must obtain the updated discharge for the Perry Lake Dam from the Hydrologic Studies and Dam Safety Unit (HSDSU) of the Water Resources Division (WRD) to prepare the inspection report.  The design flood flow to be used in evaluating the spillway capacity of the Perry Lake Dam is the greater of the 1.0-percent-annual-chance (100-year) flood or the flood of record.
