Shiawassee County Road Commission seeks bids by 5/23/2024

Sealed proposals will be received by the Shiawassee County Road Commission, 701 W. Corunna Avenue, Corunna, Michigan 48817-1229 until 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2024.  Proposals will be publicly opened at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, and read for the following:

2024 SHIAWASSEE COUNTY ROAD COMMISSION GARAGE RESINOUS FLOOR AND JOINT REPAIR

Michigan Department of State Highway and County approved specifications are required for all materials. Prices are to be F.O.B. Corunna, Michigan. Information will be available at the office of the Shiawassee County Road Commission at the above address. Work is more particularly described as 3,000 Tons of asphalt and 635 tons of shoulder aggregate, 168 tons of CL II approaches, 138 feet of guardrail, 4 approach terminals with pavement markings and monument boxes.

Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified/cashier’s check or Bid Bond on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable to the St. Clair County Road Commission or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid as guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a contract. This work shall be in accordance with the current Michigan Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction, Standard Plans and Supplemental Specifications. Proposal blanks including supplemental specifications may be obtained on the Bid Express Website.

Work is more particularly described as 69,000 square yards of cold milling, 40 feet of curb and gutter removal, 100 square yards of HMA removal, 5,700 tons of asphalt paving, 81 tons of aggregate base and 2,000 square feet of curb ramp on M-29 with pavement markings and miscellaneous items. Genesee County Road Commission seeks bids by 5/28/2024

Sealed proposals for the performance of work listed below will be received by The Board of County Road Commissioners of the County of Genesee, Michigan at 211 West Oakley Street, Flint, Michigan until 10:00 a.m., May 28, 2024 at which time and place the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Plans and proposals may be obtained at the Road Commission Office, 211 West Oakley Street, Flint, MI 48503 on or after 8:00 A.M., May 9, 2024. A non-refundable charge of ten ($10.00) dollars each plus $0.60 sales tax will be charged for furnishing the proposal that is picked up at the Genesee County Road Commission.  A non-refundable charge of twenty ($20.00) dollars each plus $1.20 sales tax will be charged for furnishing each set of plans and proposal that is picked up at the Genesee County Road Commission.  An additional cost of five ($5.00) dollars plus $0.30 sales tax will be charged for mailing the plans and proposal.  Plan and proposal charges will not be refunded.

Proposals may also be obtained from the Road Commission Web Site at www.gcrc.org.  No charges will apply for furnishing the electronic version of the proposal in adobe acrobat format.  It shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to print out the proposal in its entirety and submit the completed bid proposal to the Road Commission office by the time and date as shown above.  No proposal shall be accepted by e-mail.

 

Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and shall be conspicuously and plainly marked with the “proposal identification” to which the bid applies.  The right is hereby reserved to reject any or all proposals and to accept any proposal that, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interest and to the best advantage of the public.

Lake County Road Commission seeks bids by 6/6/2024

This work is being bid out by Lake County Road Commission on behalf of the Michigan Department of Transportation for the HMA skip cold milling and shoulder paving of six widenings in three locations, along US-10 in Lake and Osceola Counties.

  • Two widenings between Shepherd Rd and Timber Creek Drive, Lake County
  • Two widenings just west of 175th Ave, Osceola County
  • Two widenings between 60th Ave and 80th Ave, Osceola County

This work is contingent upon securing funding. No work should begin without a final approval from Kyle Knoop, Michigan Department of Transportation’s Maintenance Coordinator.

The contractor shall not begin this work until after June 10, 2024, and will begin this work no later than August 12, 2024. The contractor will have three continuous weeks to complete this work once work begins.

Work shall take place only Monday through Thursday during daylight hours.
