    The Benzie County Road Commission seeks bids for the following:

    Sealed bids for materials for the proposed Timber Bridge on Nessen Road over the Little Betsie River are requested and will be received until 1:00p.m. on April 21, 2014, at the Benzie County Road Commission Office, 11318 Main Street (US-31), P.O. Box 68, Honor, MI 49640, at which time they will be opened and read aloud.

    Supplying materials for this project will include design, fabrication, and delivery of a timber structure per the Engineer’s plans, specifications, section 705 (Foundation Piling) and section 709 (Timber Structures) of the 2012 MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction.

    Plans and Specifications will be on file and available from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday starting on April 7, 2014 at the Benzie County Road Commission Office. Persons desiring paper or electronic copies of the plans should contact Heather Jamison, at 231-325-3051 x207.

    Each bid proposal shall be submitted on the provided Bid Form. A certified check, cashier’s check or an acceptable bid bond for a sum of no less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid will be required with each submittal.

    No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for the receipt of the bids.

    Materials shall be delivered to the bridge site within 10 weeks of design plan approval.

    All proposals must be in sealed envelopes, plainly marked as to contents and the name of the bidder. Telephone or faxed bids will not be accepted. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities in the bids, and to award the bid in a manner deemed in the best interests of Benzie County.

     
    The Monroe County Road Commission seeks bids for the following:

    Sealed bids will be received by the Monroe County Road Commission at their office located at 840 S. Telegraph Road, Monroe, MI 48161 until 10:00 am local time, Monday, April 21, 2013. At which time and place, all bids will be publicly opened for furnishing and/or delivering the following materials:

    Proposals will only be accepted on the Road Commission’s bid form(s) and must be returned in a sealed envelope with contents plainly marked on the outside of the envelope.

    Material must meet current Michigan Department of Transportation specifications.

    Notice of Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference for Snow Removal Services
    To be eligible to bid, attendance at a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held April 15, 2014 at 11:30 am, Eastern Standard Time in the Administration Building Boardroom, located at 211 West Oakley, Flint, Michigan 48503-3995 for the purpose of reviewing the project specifications, bid documents, and bidder qualifying requirements.

    The Jackson County Department of Transportation seeks bids for the following:

    The Board of Jackson County Commissioners will receive sealed bids at their Department of Transportation office at 2400 Elm Road, Jackson, MI  49201-7643, until 8:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, Tuesday, April 29th, 2014 for purchasing the following:

    Instructions and specifications are available at the Jackson County Department of Transportation (JCDOT) office, 2400 Elm Road, and will be made a part of the resulting contract.

    All proposals must be submitted in enclosed sealed envelopes bearing the name of the bidder and a notation in the lower left corner indicating item for which the bid is submitted. Bids must be received in the business office by the time specified on the cover documents and plainly marked: "Bid on State Trunklines Catch Basins Cleaning Program".

    This proposal shall be legibly prepared in ink or typed on the bidding blank furnished. Bid prices must have specific dollar values unless otherwise requested on the bid document. Any bid not stated in dollar value will be disqualified as non-responsive. If any price already entered by the bidder is to be altered, it shall be crossed out with ink, the new price entered above it with ink and initialed by the bidder, also in ink. Proposals prepared with pencil will be rejected.

    The contractor shall furnish an invoice in duplicate, for services rendered.

    These prices will not be subject to increase, but will be subject to all price reductions due to decrease in market price at the time of delivery.

    Nothing herein is a guarantee of purchase; any and all purchases shall be made at the sole discretion of the JCDOT. The JCDOT reserves the right to reject any/and all bids, or any part of same, received as a result of this Invitation for Bids, to waive irregularities and/or informalities, and to make the award in part or entirety, as is deemed to be in the best interest of the Board of Jackson County Commissioners.

    The successful bidder, as part of the project award, shall be required to execute, and abide by, the terms and conditions of this contract.

    All bidders must indicate the length of time these bid prices will be firm.

    Unless otherwise specified by the bidder and agreed upon by the JCDOT, all equipment/materials shall meet Michigan Department of Transportation specifications or as specified.

    Submission of bid will be construed as a conclusive presumption that the contractor is thoroughly familiar with the bid requirements and specifications and that he/she understands and agrees to abide by each and all of the stipulations and requirements contained therein.

    The St. Clair County Road Commission seeks bids for the following:

    Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Board of Road Commissioners of the County of St. Clair, 21 Airport Drive, St. Clair, Michigan, 48079 until 2:00 p.m., EDT, Tuesday, April 29, 2014 for:

    Work is more particularly described as 58,000 square yards of HMA base crushing and shaping, 12,000 tons of HMA, 4,000 tons of shoulder aggregate, 80 feet of 73”x55” CMP arch culvert, guardrail replacement, and miscellaneous items.

    Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable to the St. Clair County Road Commission in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid as guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a contract.  Bid bonds will be accepted.

    This work shall be in accordance with the current Michigan Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction, Standard Plans and Supplemental Specifications.  Proposal blanks including supplemental specifications may be obtained at the office of the St. Clair County Road Commission at the above address. 

    The SCCRC, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of gender, disability, race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.

    The Washtenaw County Road Commission seeks bids for the following:
