Sealed bids will be received until October 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Benzie County Road Commission, 11318 Main St, Honor, MI 49640, for the purchase, delivery and installation of mobile radios and AVL System software on an existing Road Commission server. The vendor shall provide and install the radios and software as a complete project. Bid documents are available by calling 231-325-3051 or by email. Vendors shall submit all proposals in sealed envelopes, plainly marked with reference on the bid package state "Radio System Upgrade". Telephone or faxed bids will not be accepted.
Sealed proposals will be received by the Alpena County Road Commission, 1400 North Bagley Street, Alpena, MI 49707, until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at which time and place the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud for the removal of the existing fuel dispenser system and the supply, delivery and installation of a new fuel management system.
All bidders must inspect the existing system prior to bidding to familiarize themselves with the conditions of the site and equipment. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to determine and provide all materials required and incorporate all such items in their proposal.

All proposals shall be submitted in sealed envelopes with the name of the bidder, the item bid on, and the date of the bid opening clearly marked on the front of the envelope. No faxed or e-mailed bids will be accepted.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check, bank money order, or bidder’s bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal, payable to the Alpena County Road Commission, as a guarantee of good faith. This proposal guarantee shall be forfeited in case of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract and furnish satisfactory bonds, as required, within ten (10) consecutive calendar days after being furnished with the necessary contract and bond forms.
The Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals; to waive irregularities and/or informalities; and to accept, in whole or in part, any proposal which, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interest of the County of Alpena.
