Seasonal roads are a must know topic when it comes to buying resort property or a vacation home. A lot of vacationers and Michigan down-staters are unfamiliar with seasonal roads.
The biggest concern is that access on these roads may be limited for several months of the year, depending on weather conditions. These unpaved roads are not plowed or maintained in any way by road commissions—from November to April—and are likely to be impassable.
Your local county road commission wants you to be aware of how seasonal roads may impact your vacation home plans.
