Work is more particularly described as a bridge removal, excavation earth, embankment and riprap placement.
Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified/cashier's check on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable to the St. Clair County Road Commission or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid as guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a contract. This work shall be in accordance with the current Michigan Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction, Standard Plans and Supplemental Specifications. Proposal blanks including supplemental specifications may be obtained at the office of the St. Clair County Road Commission at the above address. The SCCRC, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of gender, disability, race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. A mandatory pre‐bidders meeting will be held at the Ionia County Road Commission office, located at 170 E. Riverside Drive, Ionia, MI at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. This meeting is intended to inform all bidders of the requirements of this contract. At this meeting, bidders will be allowed to make inquiry on the project. Attendance to this meeting is mandatory. The Alcona County Road Commission is soliciting sealed bid proposals for furnishing and constructing a 16’x26’ entrance canopy at the Alcona County Road Commission truck storage and repair building, including necessary exterior concrete paving work at 301 N. Lake Street, Lincoln, Michigan.
